OUR COMMITMENT
Since its founding in 1997, ONTRACK Program Resources has served as a unique resource in California. Our work, in collaboration with the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, the California Department of Public Health-Office of AIDS, and SAMHSA, promotes the treatment, reduction and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse and the resulting social, education and economic problems. Believing that the passionate fundamental response to alcohol and drug problems must also be comprehensive, we provide program support services that deal with the disease of addiction and with its complex social, economic and political basis. ONTRACK is committed to decreasing the disproportionate impact of HIV disease and ultimately eliminating health disparities among Black / African Americans in California. To that end, we will continue supporting sound HIV policy, advocacy, and community mobilization efforts that ensure that programs and services are of the highest quality for those at the highest risk for HIV infection in the Black / African American community. We understand that a comprehensive response includes the participation of all sectors of the community.
ONTRACK is committed to providing high quality technical assistance and training in support of a community's efforts to improve the health and welfare of its members. We offer support to individuals and organizations committed to addressing local needs, realizing that local organizations are often able to better identify and serve those most directly affected by the problems of addiction in their neighborhoods and surrounding areas.
ONTRACK functions as a statewide community resource and advocate for those traditionally underserved by public and private institutions. We provide cost-free consulting and training services for community-based programs including those serving California’s African American and youth populations, faith-based and other community-based organizations, unserved and under-served communities.
